In 2011, while studying for his Masters in Australia, Mr. Tariq Kufoof recognized an opportunity while working at a local convenience store. In 2014, he opened his first convenience store in Surfers Paradise. Through improvements in store layout, product range, presentation, and customer service, Mr. Kufoof made a lasting impact on consumers, establishing his presence in the market.
Quikstop has emerged as a strong competitor by copying and pasting its formula and opening multiple sites strategically, implementing innovative techniques, offering a diverse range of products not commonly found in other convenience stores, and partnering with Tatts for its select newsagencies to provide additional services to the local community.
In 2024 we have seen the entrance of Mr Mustafa Ahmad as a Partner to the business who brings a whole new level of expertise and spark to the company. Having a background in multiple key fields for the last 20 years such as Retail Management, Marketing, Business Administration, Drafting and Construction. Mr Ahmad has all the necessary tools to take on the market and optimise/restructure the business gearing it for an organic level of growth moving forward.
With the rapid growth of major cities in Australia, driven by immigration and the construction of new residential apartments, there are ample opportunities to seize. The company has proactively secured prime locations and successfully developed over 25 stores across Australia within a decade.
